Salad is fresh! Good for you! A zesty mix! Homemade! It is also an arts and culture magazine.

Salad is an artist-run arts and culture magazine based in Boston and New York City. Each issue is a mixture of art, critical writing, and special artists' editions, which are all linked by a shared association with a single theme.  Salad celebrates and questions popular visual culture, the humble and homespun, ephemera, and the role of the handmade in printed matter today. The format of each issue changes depending on the theme and all issues include elements of hand-printing. Integral to the magazine's goal is active teamwork among the editors, as well as with contributing artists for each issue. As part of this practice, Salad invites artists to produce a special artists’ edition relating to that issue’s theme, all of which are bound or slipped into the magazine.

Salad  is co-founded and edited by Rachel Deutsch, Coorain Devin, Grace Myers, and Madeline Weisburg.
